Nichole Heyer - Director

Nichole Heyer is a third generation Montanan who is passionate about serving our neighbors in need and in the transformative power of education. Nichole was awarded the National Homeless Education Liaison of the Year Award this last October and will be graduating this May with her master’s in social work through the University of Montana. She has worked for Kalispell and Evergreen schools for just over four years now and manages the HEART Program, a small grassroots organization that provides students in need with various supports to aid in their ability to earn their high school diploma. Last year, Kalispell Schools graduated more of their homeless student population than any other school district in the state. Nichole simply developed a way for the community to reach these vulnerable youth and express to them that we care. It is easy to get involved in this extremely unique program and keep our community whole and healthy.

Brady Hill - Americorps vista

Brady Hill is a Pennsylvania native who recently graduated with honors from The American University located in Washington, DC. With work experience in the private sector, on Capitol Hill and in the White House’s Executive Office of the President, he is passionate about utilizing public policy and local organizations to help aid under-resourced and overlooked populations of the community. While studying at American University, Brady was a Community Based Research Scholar who researched local public charter schools in impoverished areas of Washington, DC to determine the effectiveness of their afterschool and extracurricular programming. As an Eagle Scout, Emergency Medical Technician, and now an AmeriCorps Volunteer in Service to America (VISTA) serving at the Kalispell HEART Program, Brady has dedicated a majority of his life to helping others and attempting to empower those in the community without a voice. Although new to the Flathead valley, he has found his place at the HEART Program and realizes the impact that this unique organization has on students and families in the area. As a first generation college student, Brady wants the entire community to come together and empower students because he knows that education is the key to opportunity and success.
